Meet The Artists
Jo Fleming earned a BFA from MICA in Baltimore, Maryland and previously lived in Great Falls, Virginia. MS. Fleming’s work has been exhibited regionally in solo and group exhibitions and is held in private as well as commercial collections. Her abstract paintings led her to exhibit work in the US Embassy of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar, and at the US Institute in Taipei, Taiwan, sponsored by Art in Embassies Program.
Jay Fleming is a photographer who documents life on the water. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Jay grew up with an affinity for the water. He discovered his passion for photography at the age of 13 with a hand-me-down 35mm film camera. In 2015, Jay turned his attention to photography full-time after working in the field of fisheries and seafood. Since then, Jay has published two photography books, “Working the Water” and “Island Life”. He operates two workboats while leading water based photography workshops on the Chesapeake Bay and manages his studio.
Kathy Daywalt is an award-winning artist with 40 years of successful experience in a variety of mediums. Her works have been included in numerous juried exhibitions and one-person shows. These works are in private collections from New York to California. In 2011 Daywalt began to revisit her original art interest, watercolor. She has been studying the effects of the medium on YUPO, polypropylene plastic. Her interest in figures and beautifully patterned compositions is evident in these works. More importantly, her long experience with Linocut printmaking has carried over to this new endeavor as she employs artist-made Linocut stamps as well as found objects to create her richly textured, patterned paintings.
Josh Galicki is an award-winning wildlife and nature photographer based in Washington, DC, dedicated to bringing the beauty of the natural world to life through informative and intimate imagery. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Galicki developed a deep appreciation for nature, starting with local backyard songbirds before expanding his focus to remote landscapes, including polar regions, deserts, and isolated islands. In addition to his photography, Josh is a co-host of the Wildlife Photography Podcast and shares his work through his Instagram, @galicki_photography.
Harold Ross Since 1979, Harold has been creating distinctive work in the studio, as well as in the night landscape. For over 30 years, Harold has specialized in Light Painting; an usual and difficult technique involving "painting" the light over a long time exposure. His large scale color work has been exhibited, published and collected in the U.S. and internationally. In 2011, Harold was invited to participate in an exhibition of landscape photography in Inner Mongolia, along with 10 other American and 20 Chinese photographers. Harold’s work has been published internationally in Photo China Magazine, the Italian magazine Progresso Fotografico and the Ukrainian magazine Ukraine Photographer, among many others. Also, his work was featured in LensWork #93, LensWork #121, Lenswork #137, LensWork Monograph #15, and the New York Times LENS blog, to name just a few.
Scott Sullivan is a St. Michaels, Maryland- based artist known for his work in traditional oil painting, watercolor and graphic design. With a professional background as an art director and illustrator, his art often features strong composition and atmospheric, textured techniques. He is a member of the St. Michaels Art League and the Working Artists Forum.
Manon Sander is a Florida-based oil painter who excels in the Plein Air genre. Her ability to create visual delights through vivid oils has brought Manon to numerous awards, national juried exhibitions, galleries, invitational and juried festivals, and inclusion in publications such as Southwest Art and Plein Air Magazine. She was awarded Signature Status in the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society and in the American Society of Marine Artists. Manon teaches weekly plein air painting classes, as well as national and international workshops and is a Mastrius Master Artist, mentoring other artists.
